“I went to Shamelian school for one year. When i was a kid i went to school in Syria. I was 11 when I came here…in 1978 we were in bomb shelters, then we escaped to Tripoli. Marash was chaos; all the shops were closed. We survived with whatever we found. My father in law bought this house in 1936.”
